All Chara's doing is reminding you that at the end of the day, you're still the same obsessive jerk that would do a Genocide Run. The goal is more that you get to get your jollies off pretending you're friends with everyone. It's not so much that Chara can't possess you at a moment's notice, he totally could.

What do you think is the "happiest" ending you can achieve without a SOUL? What is the latest point in the game where you can die, having done the most good possible? Is it possible to die after saving Asriel? Do you think Chara needs you to get to the surface before they can take control? If so, why? Therefore, if I make it most of the way back through a True Pacifist Route, then choose to kill myself and never open the game again ("let this world continue on without me"), would that prevent Chara from hurting everybody? My question is, why couldn't Chara do this sooner? Why not possess Frisk the moment they reset the world, and do a genocide run? This leads me to suspect that Chara might not be able to take control until you reach the surface, although why that might be I can't determine. We know (suspect) that if you make it to the surface without a SOUL, Chara will possess your body and murder your friends. But what I'm wondering is, is there any way to save Frisk's monster friends now? Frisk killed the world, and that has consequences. You get to see what this mysterious guy sans who’s been following you since the start of the game is all about (especially if you have questions from the restaurant scene or hall scene in a previous run). No, I don't mean going back to the old, happy ending. It cuts down most of the puzzle sections and the dialogue is fantastic so you can’t really be bored doing it a third time, apart from the grinding, which is obviously intentional.

plus bonus content that’s fresh so you shouldn’t be bored doing the same thing over again.Īnd then Genocide, which glorifies forcing you to repeat tasks. You can also notice all the little details on your second run that change, mostly with sans etc. Then pacifist because the player is more knowledgeable about the game by that point and should be able to put together that you can spare everyone (plus they’re essentially told to from flowey). Neutral first because you need a baseline, and you shouldn’t have been told anything about the game before playing it or else it ruins most of the experience, so most players naturally do a neutral run. Earns her and everyone else a happily ever after and lives a peaceful, happy life, adopted by Asgore and Toriel and acts as ambassador in the new age of peace between man and monster. Redemption arc pacifist: Now seeing that she is not all powerful and how better things can get, Frisk decides to save all of humanity and monster kind. Genocide.Decides that if she has all this power and she cannot save everyone, then what is all this life even worth? Resets either on Sans or finally after a phyrric victory against Sans, begins to realize how futile she is being, his words questioning why she is doing this so much, if it's just to see what happens or for power, eventually realizes what she has done when by her bloodshed Chara strips her of her power and right then and there quits. Fails to save everyone multiple times, eventually snaps.
Undertale soulless endings how to#
Wants a solution to save everyone, but is unsure of how to find it, plus is obvioulsy tempted by having so much power in their hands. Frisk has discovered this world and its mechanics. (Yes I am aware of the post genocide pacifist endings, for the one where you stay with Toriel I believe she takes control of firsk just to scare the player with a kick as they force them to let everyone live their life as they inform the player that their time with the cast is over, and to make them think that something horrible happened but it's most likely chara just fucking with the player, same assumption for the other ending.)

I for one, doesn't think chara is inherently evil, they only act this way post genocide (btw they are the narrator of you didnt know) hell, they even are disgusted with you if you do genocide multiple times and do advise you do a pacifist route. I dont think chara would kill everyone but they would force you to stop controlling frisk, what happens afterwards is up to interpretation There's a problem here, Chars isnt the one controlling frisk, you are you held the knifeĪnd Chara isnt going to let you forget that.
